Notes from Mary Anna
We made it! To Bald Hill that is! I was so excited to be able to finally find a day, last Tuesday, where we could (Notes from Mary Anna continued) have warm enough and dry enough weather to go. Of course we missed the peak of the color, but we had such a great time anyway. Thank you for your flexibility, participation and enthusiasm!
I enjoyed meeting with everyone for Parent Conferences. It is so wonderful to have the chance to discuss your child's process and to get to know each other more as well. I encourage everyone to follow up if there are any ongoing questions or concerns; please don't hesitate you to call me. We will start scheduling for Observations soon, so please look for that clipboard outside soon.
The children are enjoying some wonderful routines within the classroom and pursuing more and more challenges. Our youngest children are showing such self reliance and self care. It is difficult to remember the first few weeks when they seemed to struggle with clothing, bathroom or basic tasks. It is so wonderful to see their swift progress! As the older children remember more, they are continuing to revisiting activities that they learned last year and buckling down to their new challenges as well. Our first cooking/baking projects of the year include learning to make porgies from Miranda Stewart, Dazrielle's mom and a pumpkin pie and baked pumpkin seeds.
blessings, Mary Anna
