Admissions
Overview:
- Our programs begin at as early as age two-and-a-half years of age.
- Classrooms are mixed-aged rooms (2 1/2 through 6 years of age).
- Our program is a three year developmental program (four year developmental program if you child starts at age 2 1/2).
We encourage families to observe one of our classrooms prior to enrolling. Families are asked to submit an application to the school to show interest in pursing more information and scheduling an observation. Upon receiving a family’s application the office will contact the family to schedule an observation of one of the classrooms and informed about if space is available.
After the observation if families wish to continue with the process of enrollment we ask families for a deposit to hold a space for their child in the program for the Fall. (Rolling admission is possible if there is space in the program after the start of school in the Fall.) After a deposit has been placed, before beginning the program families are asked to schedule a half-hour classroom visit, and a half-hour home visit with their child’s Guide. The classroom visit and home visit provide familiarity and comfort with both the environment and the Guide before beginning school and lays a foundation for trust.
Children begin the program with an orientation schedule. This abbreviated schedule allows for an easy transition into the environment.
